4 Reasons Day of Coordination Doesn't Exist

1. We want to know everything we can before we walk in on your wedding day

It’s impossible to only show up on the day of and be fully aware of a couple’s wants or needs. Planners play a critical role in management, keeping all intricacies of your special day on schedule, and overseeing the flow of events. Having a planner throughout your process makes sure that these details come together flawlessly. It is nearly impossible to come in on the day of your wedding and know what each vendor is contracted for and what your thought process was when you planned your wedding. Our wrap up process alone takes hours of finalizing details with our couples and the vendors. It gives couples such a piece of mind to know that someone that has been with them through the whole process is tying up any loose ends so they don’t have to on their wedding day!

2. You get what you pay for on your big day

If you are wanting the whole nine yards of planning all squeezed into a “day-of coordinator”, that ain’t it sis. The saying, “you get what you pay for” rings true. Hiring someone who only does “day-of coordination” means that this person is showing up to put out possible fires on your wedding day, whereas a wedding planner can guide you throughout the whole process - proactively putting together every intricate detail. “Day-of coordination” is more retroactive, reacting to issues when and if they arise, and tying up loose ends. Months of planning allow your wedding planner to picture your vision and personalize your big day! They really get to know YOU! Invest in experience and quality in order to get the wedding of your dreams!

3. You don’t know what you don’t know

You may thrive in organization and decision making, but there comes a time where you should turn over the reins to a wedding day manager! You are not supposed to be an expert bride or groom! Most people haven't been a part of planning a wedding before, and even some that have, don't feel like the process was very fluid or smooth - that is where wedding planners come into the picture! Having an expert consulting you throughout the process, will help you figure out what you don’t know or didn’t think of, so that everything has been hashed out before the wedding.

4. Wedding planners make sure you are fully prepared

If there is something you didn’t think of in your planning process, asking your “day-of coordinator” to manage your forgotten tasks, could cause a sticky situation. If you don't know what you don't know, things are sure to fall through the cracks. You have probably heard the saying "your lack of preparation doesn't cause an emergency on our part" and “day-of coordinators” end up with so many emergencies because of details being overlooked or buried. They do their best, but they can only do so much when the day arrives. Having a wedding day manager who has been involved since the very beginning ensures they are fully prepared for the day, so that they can take over and you can enjoy every moment.
